AG: Akkelidou file still incomplete

ATTORNEY-general Solon Nikitas returned the criminal file on Health Minister Dina Akkelidou for a second time yesterday, maintaining that the report was still incomplete.

Police handed over the file yesterday morning after adding further information requested by Nikitas on September 21.

Men still take up most of the corporate ladder

ACCORDING to surveys from the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEV), men greatly outrank women when it comes to senior positions in Cyprus’ community.

The survey began in May 2004 and was made up of two questionnaires with one targeted at employers and the other at women, both working and unemployed.

Macheras gets new Abbot

A NEW Abbot of Macheras was elected yesterday. On his appointment, Father Epiphanios, 33, stressed that he would continue the work of late Abbot Arsenios who was killed in a helicopter accident in a sea area near Mount Athos along with the Patriarch of Alexandria earlier this month.
