Reprehensible hunter makes me sick

Sir,
So there were only 22 hunters injured on the first day of the Hunting Season (Cyprus Mail November 4)… A great pity it wasn’t 23, with the last one being the sadistic creep who shot his poor trusting dog, simply because it didn’t respond quick enough when ordered to jump into the van.

Aides lay ground for talks

TOP AIDES to the leaders of both sides will come together tomorrow to prepare the ground for the next round of Cyprus talks.

Presidential Commissioner George Iacovou said his meeting with Ozdil Nami, senior aide to Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat, would revolve around the powers of the federal government and of the executive.

‘Sales anarchy’ emergency meeting called

THREATS by owners of clothes and shoe shops to siege the Commerce Ministry if nothing is done to sort out the “sales anarchy” currently seen in the market have prompted the minister to call an emergency meeting on Wednesday.

Minister Antonis Paschalides has promised to meet shop owners as soon as he returns from London mid week.
