Cyprus holiday cancelled due to cost

Unfortunately, we must agree with the articles regarding Cyprus becoming too expensive. We just can’t afford the prices for a Cyprus holiday this year.

For a three-star hotel in Paphos the price will be around €750pp, B&B. Add the costs for food, an occasional drink, fares etc., and it comes to €2,000 for one week.

US medical tests for Papadopoulos

FORMER President Tassos Papadopoulos will be flying to the US for further tests this Tuesday, after being hospitalised earlier in the week with lower back pains.

Papadopoulos told reporters yesterday morning that he was feeling better during a visit to the Evangelistria Clinic in Nicosia for a scheduled examination on his back.

Paphos tennis tournament looking for competitors

THE ORGANISER of a Christmas junior tennis tournament in Paphos is inviting entrants to take part from across Cyprus, and an ex-Wimbledon umpire is to help her umpire it.

Jenny Avis of Topspin Tennis Coaching in Paphos has organised the competition, which will take place on December 6 at the Venus Beach Hotel in Paphos.
