Kitas’ sister must answer to drugs charges

A HUSBAND and wife were yesterday found with a case to answer on drugs charges.

The Assize Court ruled that the 40-year-old woman – younger sister to convicted felon Antonis Prokopiou Kitas – and her Indian husband, 30, had a case to answer regarding four charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and drug trafficking.

Legal solution may not provide title deeds for all

ALTHOUGH the property industry has welcomed the radical reform of the whole system for approving and registering built property and issuing title deeds, questions remained yesterday as to how many individual title deeds will not be issued because of a developer’s inability to pay off mortgages on the land.

Rare albino wallaby born in Paphos

A RARE albino wallaby born at the Paphos Bird and Animal Park has been meeting the public for the first time. The animal was born on June 19, but has only just begun to leave its mother’s pouch.

A close relative of the kangaroo, the small, white marsupial weighs about 5kg. According to park owner Christos Christoforou, the sex will be distinguishable in about a month.
