AN investigative commission appointed by the government to look into how the country was led to the brink of financial ruin kicked off its public hearings this morning.
The hearing started at 9.30am with finance ministry permanent secretary Christos Patsalides being the first to testify.
The commission is made up of former Supreme Court judges Giorgos Pikis and Panayiotis Kallis and active Supreme Court judge Andreas Kramvis.
Kramvis will retire next month.
The inquiry will cover the period between 2006 and March 2013.
